Refund Policy
Last updated: 22 June 2026
We want you to be satisfied with your DevCleaner Pro purchase. This policy outlines when and how we can process refunds.
General Policy
Purchases are generally non-refundable. However, we understand that sometimes a purchase doesn't meet your needs, and we want to make it right.
Refund Eligibility
We will consider refunds for:
- Accidental Purchases: Duplicate charges or purchases made by mistake (within 7 days of purchase)
- Non-delivery of Service: License key not received or activation failing due to a server error on our end (within 30 days)
- Technical Issues: Proven incompatibility with your Mac or critical bugs that prevent the Software from functioning (within 30 days)
- Change of Mind: Within 14 days of purchase, if you haven't used the Pro features significantly
- Legal Requirements: Any refunds required by applicable consumer protection laws (EU, UK, etc.)
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email hello@devcleaner.app with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your email address, purchase date, and a clear reason for the refund
- Provide any relevant details (e.g., error messages, purchase receipt)
We will respond within 5 business days with a decision. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
Subscription Cancellation vs. Refund
For Yearly Subscriptions: You can cancel anytime through Stripe's Customer Portal (linked in your purchase email). Cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period. Partial refunds are not available for yearly subscriptions unless legally required.
For Lifetime Purchases: Lifetime licenses are final sales and are not refunded except under the conditions listed above.
What Triggers an Automatic Denial
We cannot issue refunds if:
- You simply changed your mind after 14 days or have heavily used the Pro features
- You activated the license on multiple Macs beyond the 3-device limit (this is not our problem to refund)
- The issue is caused by your Mac's system configuration or third-party software interference
- The request is made more than 30 days after purchase (except for legal/statutory reasons)
⚠️ Trial Period: The 14-day free Pro trial is non-refundable by definition (it's free). If you purchase a plan after using the trial, the trial does not count toward refund eligibility.
EU, UK & Other Consumer Rights
If you're a consumer in the EU, UK, or other jurisdictions with consumer protection laws, you may have additional statutory rights to withdraw from a purchase within a certain period (typically 14 days). We respect these rights, and applicable refunds will be issued in accordance with local law.
Disputes with Stripe
Refunds are processed through Stripe, our payment provider. If you dispute a charge directly with your bank or credit card company without contacting us first, Stripe may investigate the chargeback, which can delay resolution. We encourage you to contact us at hello@devcleaner.app first so we can resolve the issue directly.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes are effective upon posting. If a change affects your rights as a consumer, we will provide notice.
