Product manual

Everything about using DevCleaner — from your first scan to Project Hibernation, Pro automation, and troubleshooting. Search below or browse by topic.

DevCleaner is a lightweight macOS menu bar app that scans twenty-three developer toolchains — Xcode, Docker, npm, Homebrew, Gradle, AI editors, local LLMs, and more — and shows exactly how much disk space each cache holds. Every category carries a Safe, Warning, or Danger label so you know what Quick Clean will touch before you click.

This manual covers the full product: installing the app, running your first scan, understanding the safety model, enabling Pro automation (Auto Clean and Smart Triggers), archiving idle projects with Hibernation, and fixing common issues. Topics include supported toolchains, license activation, widget URL schemes, and step-by-step troubleshooting. Each page is written for developers who want precise answers, not generic Mac-cleaning advice. For hands-on Terminal walkthroughs of individual caches, see the field guides.
